Paul Schouten

Paul qualified as a chartered accountant in 1977 before working in London for five years.
On his return to South Africa, he worked for a number of organisations and completed his MBA
at the University of Cape Town in 1988. He joined the Daun group in 1994 and was appointed
CEO of KAP International in July 2003.
John Haveman
Chief financial officer (CFO)

John qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999 after completing his articles at
PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. He worked for Capespan and Old Mutual before joining the Daun
group in 2002. He was appointed to the KAP International board on 25 November 2005 as CFO.
Mark Balladon
Feltex Automotive - Finance Director & KAP Company Secretary

Mark joined Glodina in 1989 in the position of joint managing director. Six year later in
September 2004, he was appointed as Company Secretary of KAP International Holdings. In
January 2006 Mark was appointed into his current position as Finance Director of Feltex Automotive.
Jeffrey Burland
Industrial Footwear - Divisional Managing Director

In 1976 Jeffrey (as financial director and production manager), with partners, purchased a
company that produced safety and industrial footwear. In 1981 he became managing director.
With a merger in 1982, Jeffrey became the financial director and IT manager of the new entity,
responsible for the total computerisation of the company and all financial responsibilities.
Conshu Holdings Limited was formed in 1987 and a satellite factory was opened under Jeff’s
responsibility. In 1992 he was then appointed managing director of the two divisions and
appointed to the board of Conshu Limited. Since then Jeff has been the head of industrial
footwear.
Lou Campher
Bull Brand Foods (Pty) Ltd - Managing Director

After practicing at a Johannesburg law firm, Lou joined Kanhym Ltd in 1984 as Legal Adviser.
In 1987 he joined Enterprise Foods for 8 years, where he was employed in various capacities
and served on the main Board. He then joined Rainbow Farms (Pty) Ltd as Regional Director,
Eastern Cape before joining Bull Brand Foods (Pty) Ltd in 1998 as Managing Director. Since
then he was appointed as Managing Director of SAMS (Pty) Ltd and served on the Boards of
Kolosus Holdings Ltd, De Aar Abattoir (Pty) Ltd and various other associated entities.
After a brief period as being Managing Director for both Bull Brand Foods and SAMS, all
core food businesses were rationalised and consolidated under the umbrella of Bull Brand
Foods (Pty) Ltd. Lou currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Red Meat Abattoir
Association (RMAA), the chairman of South African Feedlot Association (SAFA) and International
Meat Quality Assurance Services (Pty) Ltd (IMQAS).
Ugo Frigerio

Ugo started at Romatex in 1990 as the Factory Personnel Manager, and became the Industrial
Relations Manager of Island View Industrials in 1993. In 1995 he was appointed as Group
Industrial Relations Manager of Island View Holdings, and then in 1996 Group Human
Resources Manager. In 1998 Ugo joined Feltex Foam Converting as Operations Director,
and in 2000 became Managing Director of Feltex Foam and Foam Mouldings. In 2005 Ugo
was appointed to his present position in the group as Managing Director of Feltex Automotive.
Rob Jordan

After completing his post graduate studies in economics and business studies in the UK in 1965,
Rob spent a year working at Clark’s Footwear in the UK and at Freudenberg in Germany. He returned
to South Africa in November 1966, where he re-joined Jordan. Four years later, Rob was appointed
Production Director in 1970, and then Managing Director in 1989. Excluding his two years in Europe,
Rob has been with Jordan & Co for 41 years.
Willie Kotze
Mossop Western Leathers - Managing Director

Willie has been with Mossop Westerns Leather for 15 years and was appointed as Managing Director
in 2005. He served 11 years as Directors of Operations and Human Resources respectively, during
which he initiated and implemented one of the first Japanese orientated Organisation Renewal
programs in South Africa in 1993, which was rewarded with a National Productivity Award. He also
led the company through three restructuring programmes to position it competitively in the Global
arena.
Grant Litkie
Kap International - Corporate Finance Executive

Grant completed articles with KPMG in Johannesburg and then spent 12 years abroad of which
6 years were in London with ICI and Lonrho. In 1995 he was transferred to Lonrho Africa Plc in
Zimbabwe as FD of various divisions and ultimately as head of Corporate Projects.
He returned to South Africa in 2000 as Financial Director of Kohler Versapak, before joining
Hosaf and was transferred to the KAP head office in his current capacity in 2004 when the KAP
Group was listed.
Paul Redondi

Paul began his career Dano Textiles in 1976 in the accounts department. Three years later
he was offered the opportunity to study Textile Engineering in Europe and successfully
completed the course in Italy in 1986. Paul then worked for various multi-national
companies in Europe gaining experience in all facets of the textile industry. He returned
to South Africa and ran the Dano Textiles mill in Qwa-Qwa for two years before taking up
the position as Mill Manager at the Hammarsdale Mill. In 1991 he was promoted to Production
Director and in 1993 appointed Managing Director. Following the buy-out of Dano Textiles by
KAP International in 2001 Paul continued as Production Director and was appointed to his
present position of Joint Managing Director in 2004.
Peter White
Hosaf - Managing Director

Science and Technology (1975)
Peter started his working career in 1970 as a management trainee with Courtaulds,
working in various units with Courtaulds Northern Spinning Division. In 1982 he joined
Hoechst South Africa as a Short Staple Spinning Technologist in Technical Services.
Peter has held various positions held including Quality Assurance Manager, Site Manager
for Cape Town, and became Operations Director when Hosaf was formed in 2001. He became
managing director in 2004.
Steven Brenner
Brenner Mills – Joint Managing Director
Steven joined the family business, Brenner Mills in 1989 and two years later took
over the management position of the Hammanskraal operation. In 1997 after the family
sold the listed entity to Global Capital Ltd, Steven, a director at the time, was
appointed Managing Director of the group. In 2002 he acquired 100% of Brenner Mills
with partner Eric Goldblum, and in May of 2007, 60% of Brenner Mills was acquired by
Kap International. Steven holds the position of joint managing director.
Eric Goldblum
Brenner Mills – Joint Managing Director
Eric started in 1972, developing, acquiring and merging various businesses with diverse
partners, including working with institutions on some of the projects. In 1997 he formed
a consortium to buy Brenner Mills, and in August 2002 Eric and Steven Brenner acquired
100% of Brenner Mills. In May of 2007, 60% of Brenner Mills was acquired by Kap International.
Eric holds the position of joint managing director.
Graeme Kiewietz
Group Human Resource Manager

Graeme’s human resource management experience, spanning more than 15 years has been
predominantly in manufacturing and FMCG. He has previously worked as a senior manager for
Simba, Oceana and SANS Fibres before joining KAP International on 1 May 2007 as the Group
Human Resource Manager. |
